I just finished this book today and I don’t know what I can say about it. I liked the story enough. There was a wide range of characters, some I liked, some I didn’t (which was the point). The plot moved along nicely but the whole book seemed…..cheesy. My biggest pet peeve about the book is the fake swearing. I understand the need to have to keep the language to a minimum but it was just poorly done in my opinion.

I saw the movie yesterday and I have to say that this is the one instance where I will say the movie is better than the book.

I’m not sure if I will be checking out the rest of the series. If I do because of a lack of stuff to read, I’m going to be checking the books out from the library.

About the Book:

If you ain’t scared, you ain’t human.

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his name. He’s surrounded by strangers—boys whose memories are also gone.

Nice to meet ya, shank. Welcome to the Glade.

Outside the towering stone walls that surround the Glade is a limitless, ever-changing maze. It’s the only way out—and no one’s ever made it through alive.

Everything is going to change.

Then a girl arrives. The first girl ever. And the message she delivers is terrifying.

Remember. Survive. Run.
